Hey everyone! I want to talk about about what to wear to the office. If you’re like me and have a nine to five office job, sometimes finding the right outfit to wear can be a challenge. If you are one of those people that don’t like the plain and stuffy corporate look…you can actually spice up your wardrobe to make it look more stylish while still being professional.
Every office has a different dress code that can range from business casual to business formal with some allowing for a more laid back style where you can dress down a little. Some people do like to dress up and some don’t like to be overly dressed up.
As for me…I am in between. I used to be overdressed for work so I toned it down a bit. I would say I am a bit in between depending what mood I am in for and I always loved dressing up since it is just part of my personality. I guess maybe it was because of how I was brought up by both parents, who always dressed up for work and who always looked professional.
I know I mentioned in my previous blog that I am the type that doesn’t really like the corporate look and I find ways to look professional in stylish ways. Like with this pattern dress that I am wearing, I thought it was perfect to wear for work especially for the fall/winter season (as long there is no snowy days! Lol). I have to say that this dress is sooooooo comfortable to wear to work and l just love this dress – especially the pattern details! It pairs so well with black boots or a pair of black pumps which makes the whole outfit look classy and chic! I got this dress at winners two years ago for only for $15!!! That’s a bargain! Woohoo!
As for this wool trench coat I am wearing…you would not believe this – I’ve had this coat over 10 years! I’ve always liked the faux fur trim around the collar to have more of a stylish look. You can wear this coat anywhere – to work, church, formal parties or you can even dress it down a bit with causal clothes but more like a dressy casual type of thing. This type of coat never goes out of style and you can keep it for many years if the quality is really good! But I am still on the look out for another new black wool trench coat with a different style but just haven’t found what I like yet! And have I mentioned that I am extremely picky when it comes to jackets/coats and bags, etc…?! I know it can be bad to be picky, but for me I prefer certain details, the cut and how it fits especially in the arms. I like the arms to be more fitted and longer since I have long arms. I do not like coats with baggy sleeves or ones that are short in the wrist, which is why it is important to take your time finding the perfect coat that looks good and fits good especially if it is going to be a pricy coat!
